As Principal Specialist of the Laboratory of Innovation of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB Lab), Alejandro Pardo Vegezzi develops technology-enabled initiatives with exponential impact on social and economic inclusion. He possesses more than 20 years of experience promoting innovation and private sector development as part of the IDB Group.
Alejandro is also the founder and leader of IDB Lab ́s initiative LACChain, a regional program to develop the blockchain ecosystem in Latin America and the Caribbean, building public-permissioned networks and defining standards for blockchain-based digital identity and tokenized digital money throughout the region.
Before joining the IDB, Alejandro worked for the United Nations Development Program, the World Bank, and the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation with resident fieldwork in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Europe.
